Is the LUV affair over? COVID continues to devastate the aviation industry. Now, with negotiations having failed with most of it’s work groups, Southwest Airlines is planning to furlough roughly 7000 workers for the first time in it’s history. United and American have already laid off 1000’s of workers. This leaves Delta as the only one of the American “Big 4” to successfully avoid involuntary layoffs so far. Absent any progress, these layoffs will take effect between Mid March and the beginning of April.
